I have been a Vodafone user from a very long time. Not that I am fan of any of the telecom service provider right now in India. But I guess, of all, Vodafone still provides relatively better network and has better connectivity & internet too. Saying it based on the cribbers that I keep experiencing around me who always have one or the other complain about their network provider.
Recently, with all the shocks given by Reliance with their game changing product ‘Jio’, it has brought down all the other service providers to its toes. Thus, consumers enjoying better services and the management is putting the best of their minds to give great experience to their customers who still haven’t moved to Jio. (Or maybe because their phone supports 2 sim cards). In any case, still making them their customers.
I personally have dual sim mobile phone. I am using Vodafone and Idea. Idea was the first sim card I purchased and also got to lay my hands on a VIP number. Now, you know the reason why I am planning to take that number to my grave.
Having said all of that, everyone is moving towards providing an additional value for money than just giving better plans, free roaming, free messages etc. Airtel is giving free subscription of its music app Wynk. I’d say the app is really great. It will fulfill your expectations and definitely has great content. I have found some content which I wasn’t expecting it to have. For eg:- ‘Extremely blessed by 2 Chainz and The Dream’. Not a popular but a great song which only some of the real hip hop fans might be aware of.
On the other hand, Vodafone has launched their Vodafone play app for video content. Nicely put, great design and also interesting content to launch the first version of app. If you are using the Red plan of Vodafone with 699/- as monthly rent, you will get one year subscription to the app completely free. Similarly, if you are 999/- red plan user, you will get the free subscription for Netflix account as well.
The only problem (but a bigger one) with their plan is, the content can only be accessed through mobile phone. Since, this is more a video content streaming website, it makes more sense for its users to consume it on a bigger screen rather than a cell phone. But I guess the purpose they are trying to solve is sort of different here.
Simply put, I guess they want to provide access to video content on the go. So, if you are in a long queue, waiting area, traveling to a distant place, you know which app to open.

Live TV: This contains all the live Tv shows coming on TV. So, if you are unable to reach home for your 9’o clock news, you can now just take out your phone and stream free and stay up to date with your news.

Movies: Some of the movies that I’d really like to mention would be Shubh mangal sadhan, Aligarh, Sarkar 3 among some of the latest uploads, and other than that there are a lot of good movies that can be re-watched like Cocktail, Vivah, 50 first dates, Hitch, etc.
TV Shows: What it doesn’t have in movies, they surely make it up for their collection of TV shows. To name some, they have Flash, Supergirl, Gotham, Bose: Dead/Alive, FRIENDS, The big bang theory, The vampire diaries, Lucifer, DC’s legends of tomorrow, Spartacus, Arrow, Standup shows in Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, etc.
They have to tie up with ALT Balaji and the following are the shows:
